I loved the location of this hotel. It was close to everything in this city and near all the major historical sights in Stone Town. Also, I enjoyed the breakfast on the great terrace with fabulous sunset views. The staff was polite and ready to assist me whenever I needed assistance.
Nothing negative to say.

I was amazed by the rich history and charm of this hotel. The old English Club turned hotel gave a unique character to my stay. I loved the spacious room with its fan and air conditioning. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking sunset on the balcony. Though crowded with tourists, it was worth it. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, making me feel at home throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend The Africa House Hotel for its exceptional value and amazing location.

We had a fantastic time at this place. The location was perfect, right by the sea in the Shangani area. The service was exceptional, with room service available and ironing facilities in our room. We appreciated the air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and mini-bar. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy sitting area. The amenities provided, such as the sink and free toiletries, made our stay even more convenient. We also enjoyed the television and the AM/FM alarm clock. The dining options were great, with a restaurant and a bar/lounge area where we could relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast. The staff, from the chambermaid to the receptionists, were friendly and accommodating. our experience here was excellent.
We recommend this hotel to family.

Great view & friendly staff! the view from the sunset bar was simply breathtaking. After a busy day at work, I enjoyed a cold beer and watched the sun go down. the bar staff were very friendly and made me feel welcomed. the location was perfect for my business trip, as it was close to several key locations. I also appreciated the spacious room and comfortable bed, which allowed me to get a good night's rest before my meetings.
Room in need of update & breakfast variety Although the room was spacious, it was in need of a bit of updating. the bathroom especially required some TLC, with rusty taps and a bathtub that wasn't secured to the floor.

The hotel had an interesting historical decor that was quite fascinating. The view from the rooftop bar was incredible and the staff were friendly and welcoming. the hotel was located in the central part of town making it convenient to access all the main sights and attractions.
The room we stayed in could definitely use some TLC. Rusty taps and an unsecured bathtub made it feel slightly run down.

I chose this hotel for attending a synod because it provides conference space and a meeting room, which was perfect for my business needs. The location of the hotel is also great for both business and leisure guests, making it convenient for any activities outside of work.
The only service that I missed for my work was a reliable and fast internet connection. Although the hotel provided Wi-Fi, it was quite slow and unstable, making it difficult to work efficiently.

We had an incredible value for our money at a charming hotel with a rich history and beautiful decor. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff treated us like royalty from the moment we arrived.
The breakfast menu could use some improvement, but everything else was fantastic.
